We travelled to Puglia last month for a quick visit to our workshops and to add the final touches to our new summer t-shirts, celebrating one of our favourite themes: monochrome.
Our work trips to this beautiful part of Italy are always hectic, driving from the morning to night along the coastal roads to visit the family run workshops who support us with the making of BRIIT.
We can’t complain when the drive is along the beautiful Adriatic coast that leads us past the stunning coves and through the small villages that pepper the coast. No trip to Italy is complete without frequent stops for a fortifying espresso or when the sun starts to wane, a cheeky aperitivo. Whilst being out and about attending meetings and styling the photoshoots, we have also managed to get a healthy tan!
As this stretch of the Adriatic coast has several kilometres of sandy beaches, its very family friendly, whilst also being a paradise for lovers of scuba diving in the rocky coves.
We suggest you to visit the beaches of Trani and Bisceglie.
For a break from the beach, we’d suggest a spot of culture with a visit to the Cathedral of Trani which is incontestably one of the most important buildings of the region for its Romanesque style and its unique location by the sea.
All the artisans we work with have been plying their trades for decades, often taking over from their relatives and combining their profound respect for the tradition, with innovative ideas, and quality of manufacturing.
In true Italian style, visiting each one of them feels like visiting family. Their knowledge and expertise is equal to none and they willingly offer their precious advice.
We have been working on a few new styles for both SS18 and the new AW collection.
The aesthetic is perfectly in line with the mood established with the launch of our first capsule collection, of revisited styles of Ath-leisure. The perfect combination between casual and formal.
We’re just launching a new print to celebrate the limited edition monochrome theme.
We believe in a simple and practical style, easy to wear and with a timeless appeal.
Our aim is to celebrate the classics, adding our own discreet twist, creating a style which is meant to last beyond the seasons.
We like to get the fit of our garments as perfect as possible and we like subtle, discreet details which add a little character to what we call the staples in a man’s wardrobe.
We also like to create a sort of continuity in what we are producing next, so that these styles can be easily added and mixed with existing pieces in your wardrobe.
BRIIT has a distinctive style, contemporary but with an edge. Our colour palette is basic; we like to combine these colours in such a way that it never looks too young or too old which we like to call a neoclassic style: we are aware of trends but not necessarily obsessed with them!
